Husband took the automated call said it was HMRC and that they were taking him to court for fraud. He was told to press one but nobody answered. Is this a premium rate scam
Message states as from HMRC threatening court action its not genuine HMRC would contact via letter or recorded letter
Wife received automated call saying it was HMRC and that we are being taken to court re outstanding law suit. Call was terminated at this point by us as HMRC would communicate everything in writing. This is an attempted fraud / scam / hoax call. Tried calling number back after terminating call and receive an automated voicemail similar to BT 1571 service.
