They are getting smarter, now they actually give fake names and fake agent numbers when you ask, but when I asked "Is there any reason why you are calling from a cell phone", they hung up. (Call actually dropped off during the call momentarily 2x) DO NOT give any info, these are IRS scammers. The IRS only contacts by US POSTAL mail only!!!! |

| 0169992439 | Have had 3-4 calls a day from this number and other numbers starting 016 - all the same - 3 different recorded messages - 1) PPI, 2) Boilers for Benefits and a third...Normally I just ignore & let them talk to my answerphone, but in frustration I pressed "9 to Opt Out", and now instead of one call every few days I'm getting several a day now! They're changing the number every few hours to avoid detection. I am not calling them as probably a premium rate number. I am angry as this is harassment. Do not answer & do not press 9!!! |
