| 02031123768 | Heavy Indian accent, claimed to be from TalkTalk and knew my name, claimed my internet had downloaded some viruses and tried to talk me though a process to allow him to connect to my PC which begins with running EVENTVWR - an old and tired scam. My concern is how he had my phone number, name & knew who my broadband was with - would it be a coincidence that TalkTalk database was hacked last year? Would it also be a coincidence that I've just started receiving dozens of spam emails? |
